The Wagner family has lived in and loved the Napa Valley for five generations. In this trio, we showcase three of the Wagner family’s most loved wines: Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Conundrum white wine blend and Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir. Today, the Wagner family showcases a collection of wine brands produced from the premiere wine growing regions of California. The wines’ reputations are always for quality and consistency – year after year.
Wine Gift Trio Includes:
- Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon:
Caymus Vineyards was established in 1972 when a mother and father and their son embarked on a family winery. From the onset, they concentrated on the production of Cabernet Sauvignon, which produces the most superlative wine in the Napa Valley region. Often considered “trendsetters” in the style of Napa Valley Cabernet, Caymus has continued to forge new techniques in both vineyards and winery. Selected lots are blended to make wines that best express the vineyards and vintage. - Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir:
The name Meiomi means “coast” in the language of the native, coastal dwelling Wappo and Yuki tribes, and best pays tribute to and symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir. Meiomi owner and winemaker, Joseph Wagner follows a long family tradition of farming and making wine that spans well over 100 years. The Wagner family set out single goal for Meiomi: To craft a vibrant, food-friendly wine that is approachable and ready to drink upon release. - Conundrum white blend:
From the first vintage in 1989, the Wagner family was determined to make a dramatically different white-wine blend that would surpass the scope of single-varietal wines. They wanted to explore how non-traditional combinations of grape varietals would work together. The “conundrum,” or puzzle, of this wine is in guessing which grapes make up the blend; a combination that includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat-Canelli, Semillon and Viognier. Conundrum is a true California wine, with grapes sourced from Napa, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties. - Greet Sheet with descriptions of the three featured wines and recipe pairings for each. The description cards and recipes are perforated as 4x5 index cards to be torn off for future reference.
